Coming to Los Cabos without visiting the "El Arco". a 200-ft granite arch, would be like visiting Disneyland without visiting Mickey Mouse. Therefore, we set aside a half-day to visit the arch, Lover's Beach (Playa del Amor), and Divorce Beach in Land's End. This is the southernmost point of Baja California, where the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez meet.

This southernmost tip of the Baja peninsula, lies one of Cabo's most famous landmarks. This area is comprised of a large cluster of rock formations that were carved into fantastic shapes by wind and sea. During low tide, visitors like to walk here along Playa del Amore (Lover's Beach) because it allows for a better view of an eroded passageway called the Arch of Poseidon. You can also observe Los Frailes, two rock islets that are frequented by sea lions.

Playa del Amore: "Lovers Beach", as it translates, was voted one of 10 best beaches in all of Mexico. Playa del Amore lies close to the very tip of Cabo and can only be reached by boat or a very difficult rock climb over rugged headlands. It is perhaps the most photographed area that appears in most ads of Cabo. Swimming is generally safe only on the Sea of Cortez side facing the bay. This is also a popular snorkling area.

Playa Solmar, Divorce Beach, on the other hand, faces the Pacific Ocean and is known for its strong under tow currents.
