12Sep2015 - Backdoor to Adventure
It's another gorgeous warm day today as we head out to another adventure in our backyard, that is, Banff! Destination Mount Norquay.
We hit the slopes of Mount Norquay on a 15-minute open-air chairlift ride to a stunning 7000-foot summit through lodgepole pine forest. Occasionally this climb rewards visitors with regular wildlife sightings including grizzlys and black bears. Today there wasn't any.
At the summit, after having lunch at the historic Cliffhouse Bistro, (built in the 1950's and was visited by Marilyn Monroe), we took our time with the incredible scenery that overlooks the town of Banff, the Bow Valleys, and Mount Rundle. Stunning backdrop!
What a great explore!
