Cancun is one of our favorite Caribbean destinations. What’s so good about Cancun is that it features not only some of the best beaches in the Caribbean but also boasts a privileged location, giving you the chance to hop around many other interesting places, such as Mayan ruins, national marine parks, and many more.
The quite town of Puerto Morelos, away from the Cancun crowd, about 20minutes from Cancun Airport. A beachfront paradise, Puerto Morelos is your official gate to the Riviera Maya. This town is located in the state of Quinatna Roo on the Yucatan Peninsula, about 22 miles South of Cancun and halfway to Playa del Carmen.
Puerto Morelos is still a fishing village but it has also become a resort, snorkeling and diving destination. This town is clearly the best of both worlds, you’ll get a quiet time away from the crowds and the noise, but it also features all the tourist amenities you could possibly need.
El Cid Marina & Spa Resort: We always enjoy our stays here at this Resort. As club members, we get to enjoy lots of complimentary amenities and treatments - from spas, use of any beach equipment, kayaking, sailboarding, surfboards, sailboating, to a catamaran.
This is our granddaughter's first travel with us, and her first outside home. She is a natural! But one thing we know for sure -- she loves the breeze at the beach!
