Last day of our Road Trek. Just before we head back to Revelstoke, we headed to Nakusp Hot Springs. This is hot springs nestled deep towards the mountains of Kuskanax valley, about 14 kilometers from the town of Nakusp off Highway #23.

Today we will be heading to Kaslo for a surprise Jazz Etc Music Festival. Heading out from Nakusp, we take highway #6 until we hit the junction at New Denver and then head down to Highway #31A. This highway is rated #5 on Destination Highways, winding our way through 46 kilometers on one of the curviest roads in British Columbia.
Every August long weekend, this pretty town of Kaslo in British Columbia hosts their Jazz Etc Summer Music Festival against a background of stunning vistas and pristine wilderness. Musicians perform on a unique floating stage just a little offshore on Kootenay Lake.

Nakusp is known as a relaxation hub with several hot springs and spas nearby. This tiny town is located on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia.
Today, we will get to know this little town more as we explore it -- the Waterfront Walk, the restaurants, the beach, the town gardens, and then head to Halcyon Hot Springs for a good soak for the rest of the day.

August Long Weekend, also known as Heritage Day in Alberta, is the 2nd last long weekend of summer in Canada. And what do you know? Summer is almost over! This is one of the busiest long weekend in Canada. This particular long weekend, we will be heading out to Nakusp, BC and enjoy some mountain riding, enjoy the scenery, and hot springs of course!
