Sun Jul 31 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 31Jul2016 - Yard So Green From Unusual Rainfall

This summer has seen a lot of rain and thunderstorms. With that rainfall, our yard has been unusually green. Very green.

Mon Jul 4 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 04Jul2016 - 3Day Trek HotSprings Circle Route - Day 3

Day 3:  At Nakusp, we stayed at the very same hotel we took 2 years ago. Very quiet and clean with nice amenities.

Nakusp is a small rural community located on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake, a portion of the Columbia River, in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. This is one of our favorite places to stay for its charm and character.

The following morning has turned up to be wet and cold for a start - but that did not dampen our spirits as we proceeded to Nakusp Hot Springs then off to the ferry at Galena Bay by the afternoon as we start inching our way home via Revelstoke.

Sun Jul 3 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 03Jul2016 - 3Day Trek HotSprings Circle Route - Day 2

Day 2: Spent the entire morning at the hot springs in Ainsworth. The natural hot springs cave was a nice treat to experience - there is no better sauna than this! The rest of the day was spent exploring the place and the neighboring towns.

He created beauty to declare the existence of His holy Being. A majestic lake, a glorious sunset, the wide expanse of the sky, towering peaks, breathtaking waterfalls, a strand of grass, the sound of wind across the pines  -- all these things were meant to proclaim His Presence in the world!

How precious are My children who are awed by nature`s beauty; this opens them up to My holy Presence. Even before you knew Me personally, you responded to My creation with wonder. This is a gift.

Sat Jul 2 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 02Jul2016 - 3Day Trek HotSprings Circle Route - Day 1

Nakusp-Kaslo-Ainsworth-Nelson Loop: We had partially covered this route last time on our K1200S sportbike but unfortunately was not able to complete the loop for lack of time. This time, we made sure we have enough time to circle to entire loop. And for a change, on our convertible!

This route takes you to enchanting hot springs and to rugged mountain wilderness, of winding roads, cliffs and majestic lakes. With stops to soak in luxurious, mineral-rich pools, this 300km route - excluding ferry distances - is a pleasure to drive.

An added bonus: we get to test our Porsche 911 Turbo over twisties and turns! While this car by its very nature begs to be driven with verve, this all-wheel drive power house commands respect - no frills, no gimmicks, no exaggerations that other makes claim of their cars. Just pure power! With all wheels firmly planted, with both turbos growling and begging to be pushed even harder, it sure puts a smile on every turn you make. Other than the Bugatti Veyron, this is truly the ultimate driving machine!

The drive was something we will never forget!
