Sat Apr 23 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - my PhotoBlogs

This concludes another amazing, restful time in Nuevo Vallarta. See you again soon!

Fri Apr 22 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 22Apr2016 - Vidanta Grand Mayan Resorts & Spa - Nuevo Vallarta MX

Often, we, for the sake of getting a living forget to live. Some of the joys living our lives are not found always rushing from point A to B or accomplishing 1 to N, but by smelling the roses along the way. We should take time to pause, to listen, to smell, to unwind, to relax, to breathe. Never underestimate the value of DOING NOTHING, of going along with the flow, smelling the things you can't smell, or listening to things we can't hear, because sometimes making no sense makes sense!

Someone once said, Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.

A Spanish proverb quotes, How beautiful it is to do nothing, and then to rest afterward. Funny yet so true!

So, relax, unwind! Live life to the full!

Fri Apr 22 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 22Apr2016 - Dinner at The Gong - Laser Fountain Show Grand Mayan

A lot has changed since we stayed here at The Grand Mayan Resort last January of 2015. Lots of improvements, lots of new things - particularly this new feature at the Grand Mayan area close to The Gong restaurant. They now have a very fancy Laser Fountain Show that runs every night from 9:45PM at 30minute intervals. Each show is different. So we took the opportunity to book a dine out at The Gong and of course we chose to reserve a table outside. We were not disappointed with the show, and the food as well!

For starters, we ordered Tataki Con Aji Amarillo, and Himachi Con Celantro, followed with Spicy Tuna Rolls and Habanero Hamachis. For our main course, we ordered our favorite -- Pato Peking Entero (Whole Peking Duck), personally prepared and served by the Chef at our table.

Great dine out and entertainment!

Thu Apr 21 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 21Apr2016 - Puerto Vallarta City Tour

Although we've been to Puerto Vallarta several times already, we thought of booking another city tour with our friends and family as this would be their first visit to the area. We will be heading down to Viejo Vallarta, down to the famous Malecon, to the town's city hall, the town's oldest church, to the flea market for souvenirs, a local jewelry shop, a leathersmith factory, then head down to Mismaloya for a unique lunch, before heading to our final stop at a Tequilla factory for some serious tasting...

Wed Apr 20 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - Rhythms of the Night - Las Caletas, Mexico

An unforgettable evening at Las Caletas!

Much of Mexico's rich cultural heritage is reflected in the stories and folklore of civilizations past. The Rhythms of the Night show/dance performance illustrates how ancient pre-Columbian religions and beliefs influenced the myths, legends, and cultures of Mexico.

We started our cruise across the bay, surrounded by spectacular views, until the flicker of torches guided us into this secluded cove of Las Caletas Beach. Haunting flutes and pulsating drums summoned us along a torch-lit path to a pyramid set in the shadowy jungle. In a mystical amphitheater under the sky, we witnessed Mexico's mythological past come alive through the universal language of contemporary dance and music.

Our dinner was expectacular and sumptous with delectable offerings fit for a king and queen. An open-bar with wide selection of beverages and an attentive staff helped make our dining experience a dinner to remember.

Mon Apr 18 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 18Apr2016 - Day 3: Grand Mayan Resorts & Spa

Fri Apr 15 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 15Apr2016 - My Photography Gallery Launched

April 15, 2016: My Photography Gallery has been officially launched!

Excerpt:

I trace back my interest with photography to my early years in the visual art scene, particularly in the watercolor form, which often became a quest to capture light in my work, an inspiration to compose by the contrast of light and dark, and transforming color to evoke feelings or alter a perception. I used photography as my base, a conceptual format, or a prototype if you like, to start my watercolor painting and interpret it in a different light...

Sat Apr 9 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 09Apr2016 - Another Great Day In Banff

this is another amazing road trip to Banff. Open air. Open skies. And the smell of the pines. Just as awestruck we are with the beauty around us. God is good. All the time!

Sat Apr 2 00:00:00 MDT 2016 - 23Mar2016 - Seize the Moment

Seize the Moment
(cz . d . mmnt)

The Bible warns us over and over about presuming upon tomorrow. I’m not guaranteed a tomorrow, and neither are you.

"No procrastination. No backward looks. You can’t put God's kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day." (Luke 9:62 MSG)

Living the moment. Don't always look to the future or pay attention to the past. If you always pay attention to the past, how are you ever going to move on and become something better? Enjoy life right NOW. Seize the moment! Take advantage of what you have now and learn to enjoy it all and make the best of it. Raise the bar!

You only have one life to live. Live this life to the full with God's guidance.

Live in the now and not the past or the future.

Be opportunist and take a calculated risk. Make good on opportunities presented to you, living to the fullest -- rather than being content with what you are accustomed to.

Pass the Past, live the Present...

Often referred to as the benchmark of exotic supercars, this is one of the two most sought-after daily-driving car. This is indeed my ultimate dream car to own. And now, that long wait is over! Thank you, Lord for blessing us with this car.

Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet

500HP and 479ft-lbs of blazing Torque!
Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch transmission
Sport Chrono package with over-boost feature that is able to punch torque to a staggering 516ft-lbs for 10 seconds
Launch Control
all-wheel drive with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) mechanical rear axle
Porsche Traction Management (PTM)
Porsche Stability Management (PSM)
Dynamic Cornering Lights
Carbon Package
Ventilated Leather Sport Seats
Leather Multi-Function Steering Wheel

the only thing this baby do not have is the $US8840-CeramicComposite Brakes (PCCB) option!

According to AutoBlog.Com, this car is faster to 60 mph than a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 or a Ferrari Enzo - and is rated by Porsche to shoot 0-60mph in a blazing 3.2seconds, or in the low 3-second range with the PDK transmission. But we all know how Porsche always understate their ratings. Some say that they could launch this baby in just mere 2.9seconds! Some tests by independent magazines have dipped into the high 2s. That verges on the blast-off performance of a Bugatti Veyron — or a Formula One car. That is wayyyy more than enough to pin your skull to the headrests!

Traction, not horsepower, is the limiting factor. Even without using launch control (which gives you a violent high-r.p.m. start) the 911 Turbo will casually spin all four tires while rolling along in first gear. On dry pavement. With the top down.

According to The New York Times: This car’s main drawbacks, and there are two, are a matter of context rather than content. First, the 911 Turbo causes everyone to hate you. A car like a Rolls-Royce or a Lamborghini is so over-the-top that bystanders get a kick out of it. But a 911 is within the realm of what many people can imagine for themselves. Except, chances are, it’s still out of reach. That just causes resentment.

More than three decades in the making, and seven generations later, this two-door sports car is nearly perfectly cut and polished. The chassis and handling are extremely refined, the brakes tenacious, and the all-new 500 horsepower engine superlative regardless of transmission choice. Much as some may accuse the traditional 911 idiosyncrasies of being flaws, most feel they add ever important character and personality to this highly rewarding driving machine. From every facet, even under the most revealing light, this Porsche 911 Turbo is a perfectly polished gem for all occasions.
