Mon Oct 11 00:23:48 MDT 2010 - 10/09/2010 - Long Weekend Winterizing Preps

A very productive long weekend! All home chores were focused on winterizing preps: all underground sprinklers blown out, sprinkler timers have been turned off, front and backyard ponds have been drained -- pumps and underwater lightings have been taken out and stored away for the winter, garden tractor has also been prepped for the winter -- its mowing deck taken out and its snow blower attachment installed.

What a relief as I hate doing these stuff when it is bitterly cold. Today was a balmy high of 20C!

Backyard pump drained, pumps and underwater lighting taken out; shrubs trimmed and most of the flowering plants all gone and trimmed as well...

Sun Oct 3 22:54:06 MDT 2010 - 10/03/2010 - One Last Bike Ride In the Back Country - Fall 2010

So our back country trek continues.
  - Destination: Kananaskis back country
  - Weather Forecast: high of 22C
  - Activity: Biking and Hiking

The weather forecast calls for a high of 22C. Sounds like a perfect day for biking. So off we go again, loaded our bikes and head for the Kananaskis back country. Maybe, it will be our last bike ride for the year. Who knows.

Luckily, there were still some fall colors left from the surrounding trees. We might as well pack and bring our photo gears...
